Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration A wonderful way to experience the Real Presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist is to take time to be with Him and to learn to listen to Him. Become a guardian of the Eucharist! What a great way to answer the Holy Father’s call to Adoration! For more information or to sign up, please e-mail the Eucharistic Adoration Ministry.
Veneration of the True Cross We venerate the relic of the True Cross, splinters from the Wood of the Cross, enshrined in our church because the Most Holy Cross was the instrument on which Our Lord made His supreme sacrifice for our salvation. It was soaked in His Most Precious Blood. And through this we recognize that the Cross of Christ has become the Tree of Life.
"Pilgrimages evoke our earthly journey toward heaven and are traditionally very special occasions for renewal in prayer. For pilgrims seeking living water, shrines are special places for living the forms of Christian prayer 'in Church.'" Catechism of the Catholic Church 2691 All are welcome to make a pilgrimage to the Shrine of the True Cross and venerate the relic of the True Cross whenever the church is open throughout the year.
Respect Life! "Our belief in the sanctity of human life and the inherent dignity of the human person is the foundation of all the principles of our social teaching." U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops We celebrate a pro-life Mass on the first Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. The Mass is followed by a Rosary procession to the grotto of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the church grounds.
Come Grow with Us! We remember the building of our first church 100 years ago, a small mission of 125 Catholic families named St. Joseph's. We look to the future as we grow in worship and service to Our Lord, with almost 2,800 families now in the Shrine of the True Cross parish. The master architectural plan of our parish is complete. We endeavor to transform the Shrine into a beautiful and worthy place to promote the devotion to the Cross of Christ. We strive to lift high the Cross in proclamation of the Lord's sacrifice for our redemption.
