As part of their preparation for Confirmation, teens are expected to:
Participate in four service projects over the two-year period, each reflecting the Corporal Works of Mercy. These experiences act as an apprenticeship in learning how to live as a disciple of Christ through concrete acts of love and service.
Attend Mass regularly, nurturing a personal relationship with Christ and active participation in the life of the Church.
Choose a Confirmation saint, selecting a heavenly role model and intercessor. This helps candidates connect more deeply with the Church’s tradition and inspires them to imitate the saint’s virtues while seeking their guidance through prayer.
Attend a weekend in-house retreat. As part of the Confirmation journey, students are required to attend a retreat to grow deeper in their relationship with Christ. In a world filled with constant distractions, retreat offers a sacred pause—a powerful opportunity to step away from the noise and busyness of daily life. Through prayer, reflection, and community, teens are invited to encounter God in a more personal and transformative way.
Retreats provide the space to listen, be still, and reconnect with what truly matters—our identity as beloved children of God and our call to follow Christ as disciples.
Together, these practices help form intentional disciples—young people prepared to live out their faith with conviction, compassion, and purpose.
Confirmation preparation takes place Wednesday nights from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in the Religious Education Building.
